Project aims to facilitate psychological recovery, social integration, and ecological education among children, their families, and other vulnerable groups affected by the war by engaging them in birdwatching and nature therapy. The initiative seeks to alleviate stress, restore the ability to play as a key developmental activity, build emotional resilience, and enhance environmental awareness.
Project objectives:
- Providing psychological support for children and families through nature therapy and play-based activities, focusing on reducing stress, anxiety, and restoring the natural joy of play.
- Uniting children from diverse social backgrounds (residents, internally displaced persons, national minorities, and the Roma community) through inclusive, play-centered activities that foster social bonds and shared experiences.
- Fostering an ecological culture through hands-on, practical activities and playful learning experiences, integrating knowledge of biodiversity and environmental care with opportunities for creative play.
Project activities:
- Organization and implementation of 20 environmental education sessions on bird conservation.
- Organization and implementation of 20 birdwatching excursions.
- Organization and implementation of 5 eco-quests about birds and their ecosystems.
- Preparation and printing of a set of educational and handout materials.
