On March 30, the staff of Uzhanskyi National Nature Park conducted classes for children of IDPs living on the territory of the Velykobereznyanskyi boarding school. Preschool and primary school children learned about the environmental institution in which they now live – Uzhanskyi National Nature Park with the help of coloring “How does Mariannochka behave in the forest?

Rules of behavior in the forest got acquainted with the basic rules of nature care, rules of how to be in the forest, learned the importance of trees in the forest, why we shouldn’t cut down trees, gather rare flowers, pick up unfamiliar mushrooms, learned also how to behave in forests, not only to avoid the devastating impact on nature but also to help. Schoolchildren were able to draw a rare plant – spring crocus with the help of some activities. The acquired knowledge can be used in practice during the stay in the forest.
The event was held in cooperation with the Interreligious and Environmental Civil Forum of Eastern Europe (IRCEF) with the support of the German Conservation Union (NABU).
