How environmentally friendly are we? Are we ready to take part in caring about nature in practice? Why do we care about the clean environment and what threats to humans can arise from the irrational use of natural resources and reckless destruction of the environment? These and many other issues were considered and discussed at the next environmental and educational event with young people, which took place based on Kolochava UTC (united territorial community).

It’s easy to understand that young people are actively monitoring the environmental movement and are not indifferent to current environmental issues. Such issues are of interest to young people and create a desire for personal participation in the process of nature preservation, the state of which directly affects human health. Young people were invited to take the test “How environmentally friendly are you”. The results of this survey showed that young people are well informed about the environmental problems of today and are ready to participate in their solutions at the local level.

The event was hosted by Lyubov Hrechyn, a specialist in the Department of Environmental Education at the Synevyr National Nature Park. The event was held in cooperation with the Interreligious and Environmental Civil Forum of Eastern Europe (IRCEF, led by Alexander Bokotey) with the support of the German Nature Conservation Union (NABU Bundesverband, NABU International), project coordinator Ivan Tymofeiev.
