Nature is our friend and companion throughout life, it helps and teaches us and, unfortunately, most often people do not even notice it, neglect it and even despise it. Such an attitude is wrong, because in this way people destroy their own land, instead of protecting it. Therefore, you need to learn to protect nature from a young age in order to learn and understand why it is necessary and how important it is. That is why a lot of time and effort should be dedicated to informing the younger generations, who can still help everyone to follow the path of protecting their wonderful home.
On September 9, 2022, a working meeting was held among the IRCEF team, representatives of the TRENCSY and the director of TheoBand Lyceum, Larisa Hrychka, in the office of the Ecological Commission of the Mukachevo Greek-Catholic Eparchy (MGCE) (Uzhhorod, 1/a A. Bachynskogo Square) to discuss the possibilities of cooperation between IRCEF, TRENCSY, and the Lyceum. So, in particular, the directions and possibilities of joining efforts to conduct eco-educational classes for lyceum students with the aim of forming a responsible attitude towards Creation – Nature from an early age were discussed.
The event was held within the framework of the project “Responsibility for Creation and Women of the Carpathians”, which is implemented by the Interreligious and Environmental Civil Forum of Eastern Europe (IRCEF) (headed by Alexander Bokotey ) and the Ecological Commission of Mukachevo Greek Catholic Eparchy in cooperation with the Archdiocese of Bamberg (Erzbistum Bamberg), the Diocese of Würzburg (Bistum Würzburg) and Renovabis (Organization for Assistance to Eastern Europe from the Catholic Church in Germany).
