Online meeting on the project with the support of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On August 24, 2022, an online meeting of the team of the IRCEF was held regarding the further implementation of the project “Churches, religious and public organizations for the environmental of national minorities” with the participation of an IRCEF expert, founder of the “Project Bureau” research group Bohdan Motuzenko. In particular, the following were discussed during the meeting:

  • The state of preparation of the printed materials of the project: fairy tales “Bats”, coloring pages “Adventures of Stepan in Kvadratlandia”. These eco-educational materials will be published in Ukrainian, Hungarian, Romanian, and Roma languages ​​and will be sent to the relevant educational institutions of the region.
  • Peculiarities of conducting eco-educational classes with children and youth of Ukrainian, Hungarian, Romanian, and Roma national minorities.
  • The concept of information stands on waste management in the languages ​​of national minorities, developed by the NGO “Parallelny Svit”. Stands will be installed in schools where children of Hungarian, Romanian, and Roma communities study.

The event was held within the framework of the project “Churches, religious and public organizations for the environmental of national minorities”, implemented by the Interreligious and Environmental Civil Forum of Eastern Europe (IRCEF) (head by  Alexander Bokotey) in cooperation with the German Nature Conservation Union (NABU Bundesverband NABU International ) under with the support of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Auswärtiges Amt #AA_Kultur #CivilSocietyCooperation), and project coordinators Ivan Tymofeiev (NABU)Nataliya Kulya(IRCEF).
