On May 17th, students and teachers of Ilnytska Secondary School visited the territory of “Enchanted Land” NNP. Employees of the park held interesting, meaningful conversations about nature protection, the features of the national park, the importance of preserving wildlife, the Red Book, and rare species of animals and plants that grow and live in the “Enchanted Land” NNP. More than 30 young nature lovers expressed a desire to learn about the unique natural resources and conservation activities of the park.
Children took part in interactive games: “Squirrel”, “Animals in the forests”, “Forest Relay”, “Feed the nestling “; messaged their vision of the importance of a certain plant or animal in the game “Conephone: if I were/was an animal/plant,”, discussed the life of wild animals in nature and their coexistence with man.
At the end of the tour of the park was made a joint photo in memory and promises of children to preserve and multiply nature! Each of them received gifts from “Enchanted Land” NNP: coloring books, handouts, badges, and more. Classes with participants took place in the “Green Class”, which was made possible by the project “Church and NGOs for environmental education in national parks”, with the support of the German Nature Conservation Union (NABU) and the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs (AuswartigesAmt AAKultur).
The event was held in cooperation with the Enchanted Land and the Interreligious and Environmental Civil Forum of Eastern Europe (IRCEF) (led by Alexander Bokotey) with the support of the German Nature Conservation Union (NABU Bundesverband, NABU International), project coordinator Ivan Tymofeiev.
