We dwell in a lovely land, with brilliant sunny mornings, peaceful days, and serene starry nights scented with mint and thyme, and high mountains adorned in cool forests. In a land that brings the most genuine sensations and joy to those who honor, love, and protect its natural beauty! That is exactly who the “Camo Gryadeshi” summer Orthodox camp in the village of Tsyhanivtsi’s young environmental protectors are. This was carried out by Oksana Kremin and Oksana Velychkanych, eco-trainers for the Interreligious and Civil Environmental Forum of Eastern Europe, who led the ecological quest ” Ecoland” for youngsters.

More than 60 youngsters aged 8 to 10 showed their knowledge of the nature of their local area, medicinal plant riches, birds, waste sorting laws, and healthy and toxic meals during the event. Children answered riddles, took quizzes, made up proverbs, identified biodiversity in photographs and in real life , studied landscapes, and simply learned to love and conserve the environment.
Smartness, friendship, creativity, and quickness in completing activities enabled the participants to complete all of the stops on the eco-quest and ensure that nature is God’s Creation that ought to be treated with respect above all.

The event was held in the framework of cooperation between the Interreligious and environmental civil forum of Eastern Europe (IRCEF) (led by Olexander Bokotey) the German Nature Conservation Union (NABU Bundesverband, NABU International), project coordinators Ivan Tymofeiev (NABU), Nataliya Kulya (IRCEF).
