The meeting concerns the further implementation of the project “Responsibility for Creation and Women of the Carpathians”

On July 13, a regular meeting was held in the office of the Ecological Commission of the MGCE (Uzhgorod, A. Bachynskyi Square 1. a) regarding the further implementation of the project “Responsibility for Creation and the Women of the Carpathians”, namely about further involvement of the most active believers – women – wives of priests and catechists in the work on responsibility for Creation. They also discussed the process of establishing contacts and cooperation with environmental NGOs and research organizations based on Christian values. An important issue was the promotion of information about the project’s activities through mass media and social networks and the distribution of tasks and responsibilities among new employees in the team.

The meeting was held within the framework of the project “Responsibility for Creation and Women of the Carpathians”, which is implemented by the Interreligious and environmental civil forum of Eastern Europe (IRCEF) (headed by Alexander Bokotey) and the Ecological Commission of the Mukachevo Greek Catholic Eparchy in cooperation with the Archdiocese of Bamberg (Erzbistum Bamberg), the Diocese of Würzburg (Bistum Würzburg) and Renovabis (Organization for Assistance to Eastern Europe from the Catholic Church in Germany).

Meeting storks at the Berehovo Public Center “Everyone Can Help”

At the Berehovo Public Center “Everyone Can Help,” eco-activists hosted an educational session for children focused on stork conservation. With the storks soon beginning their mass migration to Africa for the winter, the session aimed to raise awareness about the challenges these birds face during their long journey. Additionally, the session highlighted the plight of storks that, due to injury or other reasons, will be unable to join the migration and will stay behind in Ukraine throughout the winter.
