New areas of activity of IRCEF

On August 30, 2022, an online meeting of IRCEF representatives was held with the founder of the “Project Bureau” research group Bohdan Motuzenko, regarding the discussion of new directions for the Forum’s activities.

Thus, one of the further directions of the Forum’s work is the work on the protection of wild pollinators. Now it is vital to emphasize the critical role of wild bee pollinators in the high mountain areas of the Ukrainian Carpathians and many regions of Ukraine, where traditional beekeeping is impossible due to unfavorable climatic conditions. All the more acute is the problem of promoting the spread of such types of sprayers not only in Transcarpathia but also throughout the country, which is suffering from war and needs strengthening of natural elements of self-reproduction in times of crisis.

The event was held as part of the cooperation of the Interreligious and Environmental Civil Forum of Eastern Europe (IRCEF) (headed by  Alexander Bokotey ) in collaboration with the German Nature Conservation Union (NABU Bundesverband NABU International), project coordinators Ivan Tymofeiev (NABU), Nataliya Kulya (IRCEF).
