I am a citizen of my country, which means I am a bearer of ecological culture

We all owe our lives to our beautiful planet. Being born, from the first breath, from the first minute of life, we all receive a huge world for life use – our beautiful planet called Earth. She is the greatest miracle in the universe.

On November 12, from 12.00 to 13.00 was held an ecological talk “I am a citizen of my country, which means I am a bearer of ecological culture”.

Parishioners, novices and nuns participated in the interactive conversation led by Archimandrite Adam Akhaladze. The purpose of the conversation was to find out how well the participants understand the seriousness of environmental problems, whether they have a sufficient level of environmental knowledge at this life stage.

The meeting was held at the Monastery of St. Queen Tamara (Shindisi, Tbilisi, Georgia). The participants toured the entire monastery complex and tried to see the existing environmental problems.

The event was held within the framework of the project “Churches, religious and public organizations for the environmental of national minorities”, implemented by the Interreligious and Environmental Civil Forum of Eastern Europe (IRCEF) (headed by Alexander Bokotey) in cooperation with the German Nature Conservation Union (NABU Bundesverband NABU International) under with the support of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Auswärtiges Amt #CivilSocietyCooperation) project coordinators Ivan Tymofeiev (NABU), Nataliya Kulya (IRCEF).
