Traditionally, at the parish of the Lord Ascension in the village of Mala Roztoka, children and young people prepare gifts for mothers in the world before Mother’s Day, however at the same time not forget to protect nature, use materials that will not harm us. Today, the participants, led by Natalia Stetso, made their own scented candles from used jars of baby food, candle remnants, bulk wax, and various essential oils: oranges, lavender, lemon, and bergamot. Older people helped the kids and tried to encourage everyone to an interesting workshop, and while our scented candles froze layer by layer, therefore our children prepared small greeting cards for mom. Everyone took a gift home with a great mood and a request to meet again for a new interesting workshop!

The event was held in cooperation with the Interreligious and Environmental Civil Forum of Eastern Europe (IRCEF, headed by Alexander Bokotey) on the project “Responsibility for Creation and Women of the Carpathians” implemented by IRCEF in cooperation with partnership support of the Archdiocese of Bamberg (Erzbistum Bamberg), the Diocese of Würzburg (Bistum Würzburg) and Renovabis (Organization for Assistance to Eastern Europe from the Catholic Church in Germany).
