Ecology comes to life on stage

Students of Yasinyanskyi ZZSO 1–3 st. No. 1 turned into young actors and through fairy tales and performances told about the importance of preserving nature, biodiversity and caring for all living things.

A series of ecological mini-performances was prepared by a primary school teacher with Hungarian as the language of instruction and IRCEF expert Maria Kesler together with schoolchildren of grades 1–5 and their parents. During the preparation, the children developed acting skills, learned to recite expressively, worked with hand puppets and created their own environmental images. And most importantly, they built on stage the world in which they want to live: clean, safe and peaceful.

Observation of the interaction of young actors and spectators was especially valuable: eco-fairy tales helped children not only learn more about the environment, but also feel personal responsibility for its preservation and realize the value of every living creature.

The performances were held using a set of eco-theater toys “Discover everything together with us!” as part of the partnership between the Interreligious and environmental civil forum of Eastern Europe (IRCEF) with the Commission on Ecology of the Mukachevo Greek Catholic Diocese and the environmental protection units of the Churches, with the support of the Archdiocese of Bamberg (Erzbistum Bamberg).
